The Tridonic PACK-LiFePO4 3.3Ah 1 1S1P CON G2 is a rechargeable lithium iron phosphate battery pack for compatible Tridonic emergency-lighting control gear.

Unlike the preceding 3.0Ah, 4.5Ah and 6.0Ah packs, which use combinations of 1.5Ah 18650 cells, the 28005859 contains one higher-capacity 3.3Ah 26650 LiFePO4 cell. Its 1S1P configuration means one cell is connected in one series and one parallel group, providing a nominal voltage of 3.2V and a rated capacity of 3.3Ah.

The cell is housed in a compact polycarbonate remote enclosure measuring 91.5 × 35 × 39.4mm. This makes the pack useful where a short, contained battery format is preferred over a longer stick or multi-cell enclosure.

Integrated electronics protect the battery against deep discharge, overcharging, short circuits and excessive temperature. When used within Tridonic’s specified temperature limits, the battery has a stated design life of up to eight years.

The 28005859 must only be connected to Tridonic emergency-lighting equipment that specifically lists it as an approved battery. Similar voltage or capacity values do not establish compatibility.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

This battery must be installed by a competent person and connected only to approved Tridonic emergency-lighting equipment.

Secure the enclosure within the luminaire or approved installation space. Keep the battery away from excessive heat, moisture, sharp edges and components that could damage the enclosure or connecting cable.

New LiFePO4 batteries may require two or three complete charge-and-discharge cycles to achieve their full rated capacity. Each activation cycle should include:

1. A complete 24-hour charge


2. A full emergency-duration discharge


3. A further complete recharge

If the first duration test is unsuccessful, recharge the battery for another 24 hours and repeat the test.

Avoid excessive battery cycling during building installation. Keep the battery disconnected until a stable, continuous mains supply is available.
