The Tridonic EMconverterLED PRO 202A MH/LiFePO4 250V is a self-contained emergency lighting converter with certified DALI-2 communication and automatic self-testing. It is designed for integration into non-maintained LED emergency luminaires.

During a mains failure, the converter switches the designated LED module to battery-powered emergency operation. It supports one or more LED modules with a combined forward voltage between 50 and 250 V and provides a typical constant emergency output of 2.3 W.

The selectable duration link allows the unit to be configured for 1-, 2- or 3-hour emergency operation. It is supplied with the link fitted in the 3-hour position and must be configured before connecting the battery and mains supply.

Its DALI-2 interface enables central configuration, testing, monitoring and reporting. The automatic self-test system monitors the battery, charging circuit and emergency LED load. By default, the converter conducts a function test every seven days and a full-duration test every 52 weeks. Test schedules can be changed through a compatible DALI control system.

Three-pole switching technology provides two-pole LED-module changeover and delayed power switching for the associated normal LED driver. The converter is compatible with most constant-current LED drivers, subject to the electrical limits specified by Tridonic.

Its electronic charging system automatically detects approved NiMH or LiFePO4 battery technology. Integrated safeguards include deep-discharge protection, a short-circuit-proof battery connection, battery reverse-polarity protection and automatic output shutdown if the LED load falls outside the permitted range.

The converter also records operational information through its BlackBox function. Stored information relating to the mains supply, battery, emergency operation and LED output can be accessed using compatible Tridonic configuration and analysis tools.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

This is the 250 V model and requires an LED load with a combined forward voltage of 50–250 V. It is not interchangeable with the 10–54 V version, article 89800902.

The output is not SELV. The battery, LED, test switch and status-indicator circuits must be insulated within the luminaire according to the applicable output-voltage rating and Tridonic’s installation instructions.

The battery, status-indicator LED, test switch, cables, DALI controller and strain-relief enclosure are not included unless expressly stated by the seller.

Installation and commissioning must be completed by a suitably qualified person. The DALI control input is not SELV and must be installed in accordance with the requirements for low-voltage wiring.
