The Tridonic EM converterLED BASIC 202 MH/LiFePO4 50V is a compact emergency-lighting conversion unit designed to operate suitable LED modules during a mains failure.

It supports LED loads with a combined forward voltage between 10 and 54 V and provides a typical emergency output power of 1.5 W. Emergency duration can be configured for either one or three hours using the supplied duration link.

The unit is supplied with the duration link in the three-hour position. Removing the link selects one-hour operation. The duration must be configured before connecting the battery and mains supply.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

Installation must be completed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with the Tridonic wiring diagram and applicable emergency-lighting regulations.

Before connecting the mains or battery, select the required duration:

• Link fitted: Three-hour duration


• Link removed: One-hour duration

The duration setting is read during initial power-up. If the setting is changed afterwards, disconnect both the battery and mains supply for at least 10 seconds before reconnecting them.

Following installation:

• Connect only an approved Tridonic battery


• Allow the battery to complete its specified initial charge


• Perform a short functional test


• Complete a full-duration test after charging


• Confirm that the green status indicator operates correctly


• Record commissioning and test results as required

MANUAL TESTING

This BASIC model does not incorporate DALI communication or automatic self-testing. Emergency-lighting tests must be initiated and recorded according to the installation’s maintenance procedure and applicable regulations.

A suitable test switch can be used to simulate mains failure. The system should undergo periodic function and full-duration testing in accordance with the relevant emergency-lighting requirements.
