The Tridonic ACCU-LiFePO4 6.0Ah 4C CON is a rechargeable lithium iron phosphate battery assembly developed specifically for use with compatible Tridonic emergency-lighting units.

Four 1.5Ah cells provide a combined capacity of 6.0Ah. Unlike the single-stick 4A version or compact side-by-side 4B version, this 4C model divides the cells between two separate two-cell sticks. This arrangement makes it particularly useful inside luminaires where available space is divided or a 289mm single battery stick cannot be accommodated.

Each battery section measures approximately 158 × 22 × 24mm. The two sections form one complete battery assembly and must be used together with approved, compatible Tridonic emergency control gear.

LiFePO4 technology offers high energy density, dependable performance at elevated temperatures and a long potential service life. Integrated electronics and a built-in thermal sensor help protect the battery and support safe charging when used with the correct emergency-lighting driver.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

Installation must be undertaken by a suitably qualified person and in accordance with the instructions for the connected Tridonic emergency-lighting unit.

New LiFePO4 batteries require two to three complete charge and discharge cycles to reach their rated capacity. Each activation cycle should normally include:

• A complete 24-hour charging period


• A complete emergency-duration discharge


• Recharging before the next discharge cycle

If the first duration test is unsuccessful, recharge the battery for 24 hours and repeat the test.

During construction or commissioning, leave the battery disconnected until a stable, continuous mains supply is available. Repeated uncontrolled charge and discharge cycles can significantly reduce battery life.
