The Tridonic EMconverterLED PRO 202 MH/LiFePO4 50V is a self-contained emergency lighting converter with a DALI-2 interface and automatic testing. It is designed for integration into non-maintained LED emergency luminaires.


During a mains failure, the converter switches the designated LED module to battery-powered emergency operation. It supports one or more LED modules with a combined forward voltage between 10 and 54 V and provides a typical constant emergency output of 1.5 W.

The selectable duration link allows the unit to be configured for 1-, 2- or 3-hour emergency operation. The converter is supplied with the link in the 3-hour position and must be configured before connecting the battery and mains supply.

Its DALI-2 interface enables central testing, configuration and monitoring. The automatic self-test system monitors the battery and LED load, conducts a weekly five-second function test and performs an annual full-duration test.

Three-pole switching technology provides two-pole LED-module changeover and delayed power switching for the associated normal LED driver. The converter is compatible with most constant-current LED drivers, subject to the limits specified in the Tridonic datasheet.

The electronic charging system automatically detects approved NiMH or LiFePO4 battery technology. Integrated protection includes deep-discharge prevention, a short-circuit-proof battery connection, reverse-polarity protection and automatic shutdown when the connected LED load falls outside the permitted range.

The low-profile 179 × 30 × 21 mm enclosure is intended for integration into a suitable luminaire. An optional strain-relief enclosure is available for approved independent installations.

BATTERY COMPATIBILITY

The converter supports approved high-temperature NiMH and LiFePO4 batteries. Battery selection depends on the required emergency duration.

Examples include:

  • Selected one-cell 1.5 Ah LiFePO4 batteries for 1-hour operation

  • Tridonic 28002318 3.0 Ah LiFePO4 battery for approved 2- or 3-hour configurations

  • Selected two-cell NiMH battery configurations

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

This is the 50 V model and requires an LED load with a combined forward voltage of 10–54 V. Check the normal LED driver, LED module and battery against Tridonic’s current compatibility information before ordering.

The battery, status-indicator LED, test switch, cables, DALI controller and strain-relief enclosure are not included unless expressly stated by the seller.

Installation and commissioning must be completed by a suitably qualified person. The DALI control input is not SELV and must be wired in accordance with the requirements for low-voltage installations.

Collection: 

You may collect your goods from our trade counter located at Unit B8, Astra Business Park, Parkside Lane, Leeds LS11 5SZ, but please make sure to add a note at checkout saying you’re collecting your order. If your order is under £40.00+VAT, please call and place your order over the phone to remove the shipping charge. Someone in our customer support team will advise on your collection date and time. Please make sure you have a time confirmation before travelling.

Please note: Items on backorder will be sent out as soon as the stock is available. Orders placed after 3:30 PM on Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday. Orders placed on Bank holidays will be processed as normal, but dispatch will be the next working day.
