Vossloh Schwabe LN36.149 Switch Start Choke

Introducing the last UK Stock of the Vossloh Schwabe LN36.149 Switch Start Choke. This wire wound switch start choke is designed to operate a single 4ft F36w T8 Fluorescent tube or 2 x 2ft F18w T8 fluorescent tubes in switch start type fittings and luminaires. This type of control gear has now been phased out in favour of HF (high frequency) variants with instant start.

However, if you are looking for a replacement part for an older style fitting operating one of the above setups, this is the perfect solution. Please note this type of control gear requires an external starter switch to operate. If your fitting doesn't light up instantly and you can hear a delayed ignition before lighting up then you more than likely have a switch start fitting.

Orders in stock placed before 4:00 PM Monday – Thursday (3:30 PM Friday) will be dispatched the same day and delivered within 1-3 working days (Monday – Friday *excluding weekends). All orders are tracked and insured, covering any unlikely loss or damage. Orders are packaged and dispatched from our warehouse facility in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. 

Collection: 

You may collect your goods from our trade counter located at Unit B8, Astra Business Park, Parkside Lane, Leeds LS11 5SZ, but please make sure to add a note at checkout saying you’re collecting your order. Someone in our customer support team will advise on your collection date and time. Please Do Not turn up without confirmation of a date and time. Collections will be temporarily paused from 24/12/2025 until 02/01/2026.

Please note: Items on backorder will be sent out as soon as the stock is available. Orders placed after 3:30 PM on Friday and over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday. Orders placed on Bank holidays will be processed as normal, but dispatch will be the next working day. Deliveries over Christmas after 24/12/2025 may take a few working days longer to arrive.
